Preeti Keyboard Layout & Typing Guide
The full Preeti keymap, every key, shifted key and multi-key sequence, plus the four typing rules that make Nepali typing click. This chart is generated from the same mapping tables our converter uses, so it matches real Preeti behaviour.
The four typing rules
- Shifted keys are half forms.
S is क् while s is क. Type conjuncts as half form + full form: क्क is Ss. - The i-matra comes first. Preeti draws text the way a typewriter would, so कि is typed matra-then-consonant:
ls. - Reph comes last. The र् that rides above a syllable is typed after it: कर्म is
sd{. - Cluster-final र is the rakar stroke. क्र is
s|. Not half form + र.
